Installation

Resin driveways, paths, and disabled ramps are installed by mixing the gravel and resin together in a specially designed, forced action mixer. Once the gravel is totally covered by the clear polyurethane binder, it is hand-trowelled to create a smooth, anti-slip finish. The resin surface’s porous structure allows water to pass directly through to the underlying substrate, meeting current SUDS regulations and avoiding the need for expensive drainage systems. They can be installed directly over tarmac or concrete driveways without the need for messy excavations.

Cost Determination

Costs vary by the size of the area you want to cover due to the need for more resin and aggregates, as well as the time involved in installation. They also depend on the type of surface you have at 
the moment.

If your driveway has a tarmac or concrete finish, this would be the most cost effective option as we could utilise your existing driveway. After specialist preparation work has been completed, your base would be ready to lay the finished resin-bound surface. Pebble, grass, or flag driveways would be a costlier, since the original ground would have to be removed to make way for a brand-new base. If a new base is required, an open-grade binder bitumen/asphalt course should be laid on top and well compacted with MOT type-1 crushed limestone.
